LESSON 16 INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Piano Finger Exercises: Continue practicing
your finger exercises. Page 4 and 5 should be practiced at the
beginning of each practice session.
2. Song, sheet music: "Three part Harmony":
Fingering is very easy on this song. In the right hand place the
thumb on middle C and the 5 finger on G. Next place the 2, 3 and 4
fingers on D, E and F. Once you have this position, do not move the
fingers. The left hand is also simple, the 5 finger always plays C,
and the thumb moves from G to A. It is important to
play the left hand and right on the 1 beats and they should be played where
all the notes sound at the same time, as if playing with one
hand. Listen carefully and you can hear if they are played together.
Practice page 14 before attempting page 15. When you are ready for page 15,
start your practice with hands alone, then practice page 14 again before
putting hands together on page 15. |
