LESSON 6 INSTRUCTIONS:
Learning the notes A & B in the left hand
1. This is the beginning of the piano finger exercises. How to practice:
Day 1: Part 1 Practice using the correct fingers and
even rhythms. Practice at least 10 times. We are gaining
control over the weak fingers ( fingers 4 and 5). They need to be strengthened and play independent of the other fingers.
Day 2: Part II Day 3 : Part III
Once this has been accomplished practice each part every day. 3. Song on Quarter Notes. Practice each part separately. The notes should be easy by now, but it is the rhythm that needs to be counted and played smooth. I suggest to play with the music viewer and play with the rhythm. We are preparing for some fun so practice precisely. |
