- Let's use "Over the Rainbow" as an example.
Look at the sheet music in this song. Now hear the chords and sounds that have been added in the jazz lessons.

Substitution chords have been added, and jazz scales.
Isn't it beautiful? And.....yes it's jazz but you can see it's used in the pop method. You can add substitution chords to all of your music.
- Next, we learn how to add our extensions, 9th's, 11th's and 13th's. Plus, open harmony in the left hand.
Now you have a basic foundation.
- Adding Jazz Scales. Jazz Scales can be added to
all music for fill-ins, and they are used for improv.

use motivic development to write your own improv

- Next we move into using comping chords and improv.
