LESSON 19 INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Chord Book: Blocked, open harmony and arpeggio style. Up to this point in your lessons you have been using a blocked style of playing chords. Now we are adding another style that the left hand can use for arranging. If you
decide to play a song using blocked chords, the chords should be played between middle C and the C an octave lower. Blocked chords should be played in this range of the piano to avoid distortion. If you want to open the chords and utilize the &lower part of the piano, then you should arrange the chords using open harmony. As an example we are playing "Scarborough Fair" using an open harmony and arpeggio
style.
Try this style on some of your favorite songs
