You....are about to discover.....the SECRETS to
 playing piano
that Nobody KNOWS or ISN'T TELLING

This is a complete Piano Course including, music theory, Piano Songs,
Finger Exercises, Piano Scales, Complete Practicing guides.

WHAT EVERY PIANO STUDENT WANTS TO KNOW:

Play Any Song From A... Single Melody Line.. and
Have  A Complete Arrangement.  ...Guaranteed!

IT'S NO LONGER A SECRET and IT'S NOW AVAILABLE TO YOU.

I know that you're here because, you are not reaching your potential frustrated playing the
same way, the same songs, and when you reach out to learn and challenge yourself, you keep finding the same lessons, the same music and same old way of learning.  There has to be something easier and better.  You  have the desire, but keep getting the same results.

As a professional Arranger, Performer & Teacher, I am able to guide you through playing the piano, avoiding all the pitfalls that are usually encountered.

Because I teach advanced piano & jazz, and have sat in with great musicians, I know what you need so you can advance in the correct learning curve.
Learning how to arrange is not difficult, it's applying your skills to your music and learning tips and tricks I use to make it SIMPLE!
Yes, you too can learn to arrange and enjoy playing all of your favorite music.

So let's get started and get results.

  About the Piano Lessons

Alana LaGrange

Alana LaGrange, pianist and master teacher.

"OK, Alana, I want to learn Chords and Arranging!"

 But....I want to be able to do it myself, not just play the songs in the lessons.

I  couldn't agree more! Learning chord charts, and copying a teacher doesn't help.
In fact, I encourage you to apply the lessons to your favorite songs.

Oh, and by the way
, it doesn't take months of lessons and hundreds of songs.

Learn the theory, practice the new positions, apply it to songs.  It's that easy.

What are some of those SECRETS you're talking about?

First of all it's a different way of thinking about music.

1) Playing rhythm...Think of it this way...the left hand is your drummer, nice & steady,
but the right hand is the one that plays in & out of beats.  You do not count out the beats
between the hands as in classical music, you "put the right hand into the left hand".
This changes the way you practice, and you have to 'free up' the right hand by learning
how to separating the hands, making each of the them their own entity as if there were 2
different people playing.
This is whole different way of thinking, and once you get the idea, it's so easy to play piano
with great rhythm.

2) Arranging Chords....This is huge as you do not have to play the chord notes together,
and there are simple formulas that will expand the chords so you can play the complete piano.
Once you learn the 2 formulas, you can play any song easily but yet sounds absolutely
fabulous!

3)  Adding scales and riffs to your music...
Another secret I learned from the pros.  When
you want to zip up and down the piano, all you have to do is arrange the scales to fit your
hand.  In other words, I don't play all of the notes in a scale and sometimes, I play them between 2 hands.  This is so easy with a little practice.

4)  Adding blues to your music.... adding a simple blues riff to your music fills in all of those
blank spaces, adds drama, adds color to your music.  This is a matter of adding a vocabulary
of simple riffs and placing your hand in positions that are easy to play.  I start you off with
the 12 bar blues, because it's easy to learn, gets you playing hands together, puts your
hands in perfect positions for playing rhythms.  Oh this is so fun & easy, you won't
believe how you can sound and move around on the piano.

5)  Adding your own chords to your songs or even learn to compose...  Again, this is
very easy to learn and so much fun.  Once you learn your chord & scale relationships, you can
start being creative and getting the sounds and drama you want in all of your music.
Listen to "Cradle Song: mp3, this is the result of adding your own chords to a song that had
only 3 piano chords.  AND.........you will be playing exactly like I am in the mp3.

And......even then, I am leaving nothing to chance, I am going to show you:

1) What to practice
2) How to practice  so you won't be wasting your time trying to learn.
3) Exact step by step lessons teaching you:
4) Audio, Video, all your Music and lesson materials

And......I give you everything in 1 affordable piano course:

No you don't have to keep buying lessons or videos to go from the novice to playing
fabulous, it's all here.

“ It's no LONGER A SECRET" and
It's now available to you.
NOW, you too, can have all the skills passed
down from the professionals to professionals

I promised to pass on the work of my teacher, Bud Conway, and it is my ultimate goal for you to have access to this knowledge and be able to use it in your music.
He is one of the greatest teachers and knew all of the greats!

As a professional, I know all the tips & tricks to learning, preparing for future work and playing at a higher level.  This makes all the difference when you're learning to play the piano.

There are very simple basics that lay the foundation for every song you learn, and once you fit the pieces together, you will have the 'ah ha' moment.

Remember, I was a classical student, and when I started on the journey of arranging, playing blues and jazz, it all came together for me.  This didn't happen in college, it only happened when I found the right teacher.

There are very simple basics that lay the foundation for every song you learn, and once you fit the pieces together, you will have the 'ah ha' moment.

I’m Alana LaGrange of Music and You, and I’m known for my fun and easy methods to learning how to play chords & arranging.  I've been teaching Piano from novices to experts, 'online' since 2000.

"Let's get Started Playing the Piano?" Ordinary just doesn't Do It!

Let's get a system in place that you can practice and learn with the perfect learning curve.
I have taught 100's of students and know exactly how to move you into success............

This is a link to the complete chart of lessons.

“There is nothing ordinary about playing
 'FABULOUS PIANO" Let's learn your possibilities
and get zipping up and down the piano.

The old saying "To get results", you have to change your concepts and approach to learning and apply it in a new action, otherwise you always get the same results".

  • A new mind set;  A new approach to thinking about chords and scales and why the old label system doesn't work.  Only the pros work this way and it's so easy.

  • What you need to know and do before actually playing a song;
    This will get you playing, memorizing and learning a song in half the time.

  • Starting with a melody only, let's add our own chords;  OH, the possibilities are endless and.........you can't advance without knowing this.

  • You can't be creative if you don't know your possibilities:
    What are your possibilities in arranging, and how do you know which to use?

  • Playing blues is not only fun but this will catapult you to new levels;
    Start playing all of the keyboard, strengthens your hands and fingers, changes your fingering, and is the start of improvisation.

  • How to find the simple progressions the composer took from the scales.

  • Using simple 4 note chords, how to add a beautiful descending pattern in the left hand.  Where do the pros get those beautiful inner harmonies?

  • This 1 secret of arranging the left hand, will open up your sounds great and playing easy;
    Using a formula and rules, we will add open chords to the left hand.
    Here it is.........and Bill Evans used this in a lot of his music, but it is rarely taught.

  • Are you spending too much time practicing the wrong materials in the wrong way?
    I know this one by experience.  Having to memorize many songs for performance, taught me this one the hard way.

  • Does your pedaling enhance your music or make it sound like an amateur.  Pedaling correctly is a huge secret, and can even change the way a rhythm sounds.  Even in classical music, this will change everything you play.

  • Why practice scales, and what is the best way to learn them.
     If you want to zip up and down the piano...use certain scales that are the easiest to play;

  • What is the biggest myth about fingering?

  • Think like a composer and learn to memorize easily;

  • How to change the myths learned in reading music, so you can zip up and down;

  • Why are you missing the mark?  I always prove that it's not the students, it's the teacher.  Either they don't know or leave out information, not to mention the learning curve has to be precise.

What's in the Piano Chords & Arranging 101 Lessons:

Arranging & playing those Chords & Scales

What is Chords & Arranging?

A musical arranger writes all the different parts for an orchestra, singers, or
dancers and writes the music into a "style"  which could be lyrical or rhythmic.

To play solo piano, one would think of the piano as the orchestra and "arrange"
the chords to add harmony & rhythm.

Once you know your possibilities, you can arrange music and play any song
creatively according to how you want it to sound.

How to arrange using only 3 note chords-major & minor

I played this song using simple arranging formulas and 3 note
chords & it's all in your piano lessons.  My Heart will Go On Mp3

      that are easy hand positions so you can play them with speed.
      This is 1 of my many secrets, tips & tricks.
    • Alana, how do you play those fabulous runs?  Again, I have
      a secret to playing runs which makes it easy to speed up and
      down the piano.  I use both hands, and divide the notes into
      simple patterns that fit the hand easily.

  1. “How do I add Intros and Ending?

    • Sometimes I use a scale for intros & endings;

On a personal note:

I have been exactly where you are and know the frustration.

I graduated college as a classical piano student, but still did not know how to arrange or compose. I heard fabulous pianists and jazz artists and wanted to play just like them. I had the knowledge but did not know how to use it in arranging music.

I have had the personal fortune to study with one of the great jazz teachers in the country, Bud Conway. His best friends were the jazz greats such as George Shearing. This course is the foundation and body of work that I learned while studying with him and now with the internet can be shared with all piano students.

I can't even begin to tell you what it's like learning all of the tips & tricks I
learned from sitting in with these fabulous musicians, and I know now, I
couldn't have done it without their help.

It is so easy to learn when presented in step by step formulas and then actually applied to your songs. This class will take you to a new level of playing, and IT IS SO MUCH FUN!

P.S.  It is such a pleasure to be with all of you and I guarantee, this will be a successful experience.
I will do whatever is in my power for your musical success.
