24. Chords/Scale points/Arranging

Chords: Arranging the left and using scale
point chords. Now you are to the point
where you have enough knowledge to
have choices in arranging music. You can
decide on which chords you like to use, and whether to arrange in blocked style
or open harmony. Now you have Choices!

25. Arranging the left hand

Compositions:  Moving away from always having the root of the chord in the bass. We are now using descending patterns in the L.H. and chord pedal points for interesting L.H. structure.  This time we are using L.H. octaves to form interesting harmony in descending patterns.  We don't have to always use the root of the chord in the bass.
Chords: D flat, E flat and A flat chords, theory and work sheets.
Using inverted chords for ascending and descending patterns. Surprise song with chords and rhythms applying more ideas of how to arrange.
