I Started thinking about the Chords Class
quite by ACCIDENT!

I was signing autographs after a concert and a women came up to me and told me how she loved going to my site and printing the new piano arrangements.

I must have looked at her rather strange because she said, "Is it OK that I learn your piano arrangements?"

"Well, of course it's OK, but why aren't you writing your own arrangements?"

"I don't know chords" was her response.

"Have you checked out the Intermediate Lessons, because this is where you will learn chords?"

"Oh yes, but I didn't think I could learn chords.  I had some old chord books and tried to learn, but never got past the C, F, and G chords, let alone learn minors and 7 chords."

"What stopped you?"

"I didn't like the books, too complicated and......I the music was too childish."

At that point, I asked her if she could spend a weekend, would she be encouraged to learn chords.

Well, yes, I want to play just like you, Can I?"

         So now I had to write the book "Starter Chords".

• I had to share my easy method for learning chords

• I had to use familiar songs that students enjoyed playing

• I had to add arrangements using the 3 notes chords

• The arrangements had to inspire students for what was to come

• I added videos describing how to learn the chords

    Adding chords to the right hand,
    Changing the left hand to open up the chords
    Adding Rhythm
    Adding a touch of blues
    Adding scales to the song for drama and fill-in
4) Playing the arrangements will help you learn your chords.
5) Will open the door to arranging and all the possibilities of future lessons.
6) Get you playing immediately.
7) Give you success and accomplishment and songs to add to your repertoire.
8) The videos will describe the methods I used to write the arrangements.
